Rail Transport - Metro do Porto
The Porto Metropolitan Area Light Railway is made up of five lines, 60 kilometres of track, 70 stations (14 of which are underground) and 102 vehicles (72 Eurotram and 30 Tram Train). The company carries over 50 million passengers annually.
In 2010 the ViaPORTO Consortium, led by the Barraqueiro Group and which includes the Arriva, Keolis and Manvia companies, was awarded the contract for the operating and maintaining of the entire system for five years, as a result of the international call for tenders launched by Metro do Porto.

In addition to the current lines, the contract also covers the extensions planned up to the end of its term, in particular: i) the Gondomar Line (Estádio do Dragão - Venda Nova); ii) the Yellow Line extension to Santo Ovídeo and; iii) the Ismai-Trofa stretch on the Trofa Line.
