Road Transport - Public Service
A "Public passenger transport service" is deemed to mean the service provided on regular routes, with previously established starting points, intermediate stops and destinations complying to timetables, which have been duly authorised and publicised amongst the general public.

The Public Service may just encompass services within the limits of a specified location - towns or cites of sufficient size to justify such - in which case it is called an "urban service", or it may extend beyond the boundaries of urban centres, in which case it is called a "suburban service". Relative to longer routes, linking two or more urban centres, these are classified as "intercity services".
