Rodoviária de Lisboa and National Republican Guard (GNR) accomplish training actions to the drivers of the company.

Lisbon, 10 of April 2007 - Rodoviária de Lisboa (RL), one of the companies of The Barraqueiro Group skilled in public transport of passengers, has established a partnership with National Republican Guard (GNR), through its Department of Loures, in order to accomplish training actions to the drivers of the company.
Four actions have already taken place, regarding subjects as "Security inside vehicles" and "Road Security".

These training actions will take place twice a month and are part of the program "Secure RL", having as a target the security of drivers and passengers, as well as to improve the quality of the transport service.

The training sessions leaded by GNR take place at RL facilities, and besides security, an approach on subjects like characterization of incidents inside vehicles, procedures to adopt in case of incident and needs on obtaining and share of information, is made.

Furthermore, in order to reinforce the acknowledgement of the drivers concerning rules, techniques and procedures to protect persons and goods in circulation, other factors linked to road security and measures to avoid accidents and limit damages, are learned.
